Established in 1950, this family-run butcher (currently run by Phil Elliott, pictured above), is situated on the busy Essex Road in Islington. They are a classic London butcher, with a great focus on the highest quality British meat. On offer is exquisite Salt Marsh Lamb from Essex, free-range pork from Suffolk and the best beef from the glens of Scotland. Like all good butchers, their sausages are made in-house, as well as their pork pies and hams. On top of regular butchery products, James Elliott also sell seasonal game, such as venison, pheasant, quail and rabbit. They also have a fantastic selection of British cheeses, such as Montgomery Cheddar and Gorwydd Caerphilly.
